Snapchat has announced that it plans to launch its own TV channel through the app. It will take on the likes of Netflix to create its own TV shows and stream them right to people's phones.
According to Digital Spy, it's lined up an impressive collaboration for the new side of the business. It has teamed up with NBCUniversal to bring the new shows to life. NBCUniversal are behind some of the biggest TV shows, including the USOffice and Parks and Recreation.
There has been no information given about the type of shows but it has been suggested that they will only be 3-5 minutes long.
Mark Duplass is one of the first TV producers lined up to create a show. Speaking about the new production Mark said:
"We're super psyched to partner with Snap and NBCUniversal.
"For us, shooting in that vertical mobile format is a terrifying and thrilling creative challenge."
