Jorge Masvidal wants to fight the Paul brothers

Despite having trained Jake for his fight against Ben Askren, the UFC fighter wants both Paul scalps

UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal reportedly wants to take on both Paul brothers in a boxing match.

Speaking after the All Elite Wrestling pay-per-view event ‘All Out’, Masvidal said he’d love to “break some Disney characters’ faces”, ESPN reported.

While the eldest influencer turned boxer, Logan, has only had two exhibition fights – one against fellow YouTuber turned rapper and occasional boxer, KSI – his younger brother, Jake Paul, is now undefeated in four professional fights.

Masvidal wants to put a stop to all of it.

The 36-year-old actually helped Jake prepare for his first bout against a proper albeit retired fighter, Ben Askren, and was even egging on Paul to take up other fights, including a potential meeting with Yoel Romero.

It is not known if that relationship soured, but it is clear that Masvidal wants to fight both brothers and most probably earn the kind of handsome pay-day we’ve seen since the ‘influencer boxing’ trend started.

Speaking at the PPV last weekend, the American welterweight said he wants to be a title contender again, but that he wouldn’t mind getting in on this most recent boxing advent.

“I’m gonna beat up all the Pauls. If they put money in my pocket, that Logan Paul dude, Jake Paul, whoever Paul dudes — if they put money in my pocket, of course I’d like to break some Disney characters’ faces.

“I’ve been fighting men who have been training since 7, 8 years old to do the same thing to me what I want to do to them. Fighting guys like [the Pauls] is a bonus, man.”

Masvidal went on to say, “Who the f*** is this Paul kid? He thinks we’re friends because I gave him some advice in the Ben Askren fight. Get the f*** out of here, bro. I’ll slap you and whoever the f*** you want, bro. I’m a fighter. Of course, you’re gonna get offended.”

It’s fair to say he’s up for it.

Masvidal has 35 wins and 15 losses in his MMA career and is coming off back-to-back losses in his previous two fights. He would be the third UFC fighter Jake Paul has taken on in a boxing ring.
