The YouTuber turned boxer will fight the former heavyweight champion in July.

Jake Paul has said that he wants to find out how hard Mike Tyson hits when he faces off against him in Las Vegas this summer.

Many have criticised the 27-year-old entertainer for agreeing to fight a man thirty years his senior, but Paul insists that “people are underestimating me being able to deal with his power, and that is something that is going to make it interesting.”

Speaking on his podcast, B/S with Jake Paul, the former Disney actor said: “This is definitely the toughest, most savage, lethal opponent – regardless of age, because power is the last thing to go.

“But the reaction and reception of it has been insane,” he said. “I almost can’t even believe it – so very surreal, very, very, very grateful for all of that.”

Paul has impressed many with his ability to withstand blows from heavy hitters such as Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva, but Tyson will without a doubt be the most powerful punch he’s ever been up against.

“I want to see how hard he hits,” Paul said. “Mike, I really want to see, bro. Let’s see all the legends, the myths, because you’re ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson – but I have an iron chin. People know that. I take shots.

“So I think people are underestimating that me being able to deal with his power, and that is something that is going to make it interesting. I’m excited. I literally can’t wait to look across the ring and see him and give him a f*cking death stare.”

The fight is set to take place on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas and will be streamed live on Netflix.

Since the announcement, footage has emerged of Mike Tyson in training. Many fans have suggested Paul should be feeling pretty scared after seeing the footage.

After seeing the video of Tyson on the pads, fans are fearing the worst for Paul.

Piers Morgan said: “I’m very glad I’m not Jake Paul….”

Another user added: “Someone needs to save Jake Paul if Iron Mike gets forreal.”

“Mike looks better at 60 than 40. Paul gonna get dog walked,” added a third.

Paul’s last fight came in February as he stopped Ryan Bourland in the first round, with his only loss coming to Tommy Fury.

Iron Mike, on the other hand, has 50 wins and just six losses across his whole fighting career, with 44 of those wins coming by knockout.

Tyson’s last pro bout came nearly two decades ago, a loss to Kevin McBride in 2005.

He has stepped into the ring since then in an exhibition match with Roy Jones Jr. in 2020.
