Nominations for the Naturo SuperDog Awards are open until the end of July!

It is an indisputable fact that dogs are better than people. Whether big or small, clever or stupid, they are the most magical creatures: loyal, caring, adorable. Dogs have never broken off to form their own Super League, despite being super animals.

The past year has only solidified this, as more and more people looked to cushion the blow of lockdown by bringing a furry friend into their home – Google searches for ‘buy a puppy’ have soared by 166% since March 2020.

And while dogs are often hailed as the greatest thing to grace the earth in dating app bios and viral videos, it still feels like they don’t get the recognition they deserve. That’s where the Naturo SuperDog Awards come in.

As you might have gathered, these awards will tell the positive stories of having a dog, and in turn aim to set an example that promotes responsible dog ownership to new dog owners. Here at JOE, we are proud to be the official media partners of such a brilliant award ceremony.

The awards are split up into seven categories: Survivor, worker, campaigner, carer, companion, team and last but by no means least: the ultimate SuperDog.

Nominations are open for another three months, closing at the end of July, and the awards ceremony will be hosted by beloved documentary presenter, Stacey Dooley MBE.

They want to hear your stories about your dog and how they’ve impacted your life, so get in touch.

As stated on the Naturo SuperDog Awards website, these awards are “not only a chance to celebrate amazing dogs but a new opportunity to tell stories that we may never have heard otherwise.”

“Especially after the past year, more than ever, dogs are providing a form of protection for our mental health and physical health.”

Dooley will host the awards in London on 9 November 2021, with a host of other presenters also in line to present individual awards.
