A passenger plane carrying 55 people has crashed into the sea just moments after take-off.
The Fokker 50 aircraft crashed in Somalia just moments after departing Mogadishu Aden Adde International Airport.
Dramatic images of the damaged aircraft, which belongs to the airline StarSky, have been circulating online following the crash earlier today (10 Feb).
The plane reportedly encountered technically difficulties shortly after take-off with the aircraft struggling to climb.
Eyewitnesses on the beach said that the plane was flying unusually low before it skipped across the shallow water and landed on the shoreline, as per AirLive.
Photos of the aircraft show the right wing partially snapped off.
An airport official said: "The priority was ensuring there was no post-impact fire, given the proximity to the water.
"We are relieved to report that everyone on board was evacuated safely."
The Somali Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) has since launched an investigation.
