Alex Beresford is set to show off his vocal talents on ITV's All Stars Musical
Good Morning Britain's Alex Beresford on Thursday announced he has quit his role hosting the weather at ITV West Country.
The presenter announced his departure in a statement saying, "I will miss it".
Beresford's departure comes a year after his clash with Piers Morgan live on the air which prompted Morgan to storm out of the studio and later quit Good Morning Britain
Speaking to ITV about his decision to leave his role, Beresford said: "It's been over a decade since I've been working across the region and it's been the most amazing time."
The 41-year-old added: "It's been a special part of my life and I'm going to miss it. I'm a Bristol boy through and through."
Beresford's ITV West Country co-stars wished him well.
"He gets on with people you meet in the street and gets on with people when you're outside doing a live, " presenter Bob Crampton said.
"Good luck Alex, I know you're going to do particularly well."
Beresford also presents the weather on Good Morning Britain and he is a co-host on All Around the World with Ria Hebden.
It was also revealed Thursday that Beresford is set to show off his vocal talents on ITV's All Stars Musical.
