Woman with Jeffrey Dahmer tattoo has no regrets and claims she's not glorifying him

She says she is ‘simply intrigued’ by the killer

A woman has defended her Jeffrey Dahmer tattoo and insisted that she is not glorifying the serial killer.

Britnee Chamberlain has Dahmer’s saying “if you can’t beat ’em, eat ’em” tattooed on her.

Dahmer has been the subject of much discussion in recent weeks thanks to Netflix’s new drama series ‘Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story’, a dramatization of his life and crimes which stars Evan Peters as Dahmer.

Also known as the ‘Milwaukee Cannibal’ or the ‘Milwaukee Monster’, Dahmer killed and dismembered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991. He would lure them back to his apartment before killing them, and his crimes also involved eating parts of his victims and necrophilia.

Dahmer served just three years behind bars before he was beaten to death by a fellow inmate.

Along with Dahmer’s gruesome saying, Britnee, a 28-year-old psychology student, also has a large mugshot of the killer tattooed on her.

Chamberlain told the Daily Star of her tattoo: “I can say that my favourite piece of the sleeve is the quote by Jeffrey Dahmer.

“Now that’s not to say I envision it in the way he did. But metaphorically speaking not feeling defeated by others and pursuing nonetheless, no matter the difficulty for you.”

She said that she got the inking because she is “simply intrigued” about serial killers and their motivations, insisting that she does not condone their actions.

“I don’t condone the hostile crimes of serial killers by any means. I am simply intrigued as to why they do it,” she said.

“There are so many contributing factors such as socio-environmental, biological and psychological aspects that encourage or result in a criminal acting out in the way they do.

“And it’s fair to say that not all of them are coherent or sane enough to realise this is not a sense of normalcy in society.”

Dahmer isn’t the only notorious killer that Britnee has a tattoo of. She also has an inking of Ted Bundy, but admits that she likes her Dahmer tattoo more.

Some have criticised Britnee on Instagram for the tattooes, and say that despite what she claims, she is glorifying Dahmer and his crimes.

One person wrote: “Do you realise how disgusting this is? You can be interested by serial killers. Watch a documentary, become a psychologist, or a criminologist. Victims of these killers are still alive.

“Imagine one of their family members or the victims seeing this on you. You are fetishising real life murderers and it absolutely disgusts me. Enjoying horror and loving FICTIONAL characters is 10000% different than this shit. Ew.”

She’s not been deterred though and is actually planning more killer tattoos, with Jack the Ripper apparently next on her list.
