During an appearance on YouTuber Anthony Pompliano's show, Johnson was explicitly asked if he thought The Rock is on steroids.
He responded: "I'm not picking any fights with anybody. I don't think he [Rogan] should have picked that fight either!"
Johnson then had the recent "bad blood" between Rogan and The Rock explained to him, as he apparently wasn't aware of the drama between the pair.
He then continued: "You don't want to pick a fight with The Rock, literally and figuratively, this is not the guy. So I'll just say I think what The Rock has done has been absolutely incredible.
"First of all I don't think he's on steroids. Is he taking any hormone replacement therapy, I don't know."

Earlier this year, Dwayne Johnson distanced himself from his long-time friend Rogan after clips of the podcast host using racist language emerged online.
Johnson had voiced his support for Rogan in the aftermath of the backlash Rogan had received for spreading misinformation on his podcast.
Underneath a video from Rogan in which he apologises for some of the views he shared on The Joe Rogan Experience, Johnson commented: "Great stuff here brother.
"Perfectly articulated. Look forward to coming on one day and breaking out the tequila with you."
However a video was then shared online of every time Rogan had used the n-word on his podcast, with author Don Winslow tweeting Johnson to ask whether he still supported the podcast host.
He wrote: "You're a hero to many people and using your platform to defend Joe Rogan, a guy that used and laughed about using the N word dozens of times, is a terrible use of your power.
"Have you actually listened to this man's many racist statements about Black people?"
