How quickly can you solve the latest maths puzzle that’s all over the Internet?

It's so simple once you see it.

Conor Heneghan

The solution is staring you right in the face, but can you see it?

You probably thought you had enough of numbers this week with all the various post-Brexit figures coming out, but if you’re still in need of a little mental stimulation then this might be right up your street.

A puzzle posted on Bright Side has been posing quite the challenge for the many who have come across it; it might look complicated at first, but when you realise what the answer is, you’ll probably kick yourself for not spotting it sooner.

It features a series of seemingly incorrect maths equations, but they all work along the same logic.

Right, start the clock and once you’re done or once you’ve decided to give up, scroll to the bottom of the page for the answer…

As you may know by now, the answer was staring you in the face the whole time.

It’s not just one sum in each equation, but three – multiplication, addition and subtraction in that order.

Take the first equation for example.

8 x 2 = 16

8 + 2 = 10

8 – 2 = 6

Throw them one after the other, and you get the answer of 16106.

And so it works like that down the line.

So, how long did it take you? Be honest now…
