Travis Barker says he ‘kept secretly checking out’ Kim Kardashian before getting with Kourtney Kardashian

It was whilst he was in a relationship with Paris Hilton

The Blink 182 member has been in a relationship with Kourtney Kardashian since January 2021, with the pair marrying in May 2022.

But the 47-year-old revealed in his 2015 memoir that he "kept on secretly checking out" Kim Kardashian whilst he was in a relationship with Paris Hilton.

During a Blink 182 tour, Hilton came to visit her then-boyfriend in Amsterdam and brought Kim along with her

Remembering the encounter with the reality star, Barker wrote: “Kim used to organize people’s closets, and at the time, she was working as Paris’s closet girl... She would grab Paris’s bags, put them in the closet, unpack them, put everything where Paris could find it.”

As the group hit the town later that night - getting "high as a kite at a coffee shop" and visiting the Absinthe Bar - Barker began to take notice of Kim, writing: "I kept on secretly checking out Kim, telling Lil Chris, ‘I don’t care if she’s the closet girl, she’s f**king hot.'"

This actually wasn't the first time the rockstar had met the TV personality though. He explained that the pair had actually hung out a lot whilst he was having some "time off" from second wife Shanna Moakler.

Barker said he and Kim went out for meals together, swam at his house and watched the Fourth of July fireworks together.

This was also after Kim had just broken up with her first husband Ray-J, but Travis said he "wanted to be nothing but a gentleman to her."

He wrote: “You might think I would be doing the worst things with this girl because of her tapes, but it was the exact opposite of any other encounter I’ve had with a woman: with Kim, I wanted to be nothing but a gentleman to her…It was so weird.”

Speaking to Us Weekly in 2015, he admitted he did have a "crush on her" and that the pair were "flirtatious," but that nothing ever happened between them.

In the end, it was never meant to be between Travis and Kim, and the drummer went on to meet Kourtney.

After marrying last year, the couple have since announced they are having a child together.
