Taylor Swift becomes latest victim of worrying trend as fans throw objects at her

‘Stop throwing things at your favourite artists’

Taylor Swift has become the latest performer to have been hit with objects from at them by people in the crowd.

The singer’s fans were left furious after a concert-goer threw an object at her during her Eras Tour.

The Enchanted singer is one of many celebrities who have had objects thrown at them by fans during performances.

Harry Styles, Bebe Rexha, and Drake have all been smacked with objects during concerts in recent weeks.

As she was leaving the stage, fans started to throw friendship bracelets at the All Too Well singer.

Swift, who was surrounded by security, was seen ducking as fans threw the objects from their seats.

It may have been well-intended, but the fans have been slated by others online. Many agreed that they may not have intended on hurting the singer, but throwing objects at a human isn’t acceptable.

“Stop throwing things at your favourite artists. I can assure you they don’t enjoy it,” one said.

Another added: “Seriously people need to stop throwing stuff. Idc if it’s a friendship bracelet that weighs less than a pound. They act as though Taylor Swift is gonna pick it up off the floor and ask them to be besties on the spot. It’s just very disrespectful.”

A third person stressed: “Please stop throwing stuff at the artists. if you are a real fan in your right mind, your priority is their safety and not get hurt. this should not be normalized.”

The incident comes after singer Harry Styles was hit in the face during his show in Austria.

The singer was performing on July 8th when a fan fired an object at the singer’s face.

He bent over in pain and was seen clutching his face with his hands during the performance.

Last month, Bebe Rexha was hit in the face by a phone which was thrown from the crowd.

She had to halt her show in New York and was seen walking towards the back of the stage holding her face after the device hit the side of her head.

New York Police later confirmed that a 27-year-old concertgoer had been charged with assault.

Just days later, US singer Ava Max suffered a scratch to the inside of her eye after a man jumped on stage during a show and hit her.

And just last week, Drake was hit on the arm when a concert-goer threw their phone at him.

Adele recently spoke out against the worrying trend that is arising. She told her audience she would “kill” them if they tried to hurl something at her mid-performance.

The British singer chatted to her audience during a Las Vegas show at Caesars Palace, and said: “Have you noticed how people are like, forgetting f****** show etiquette at the moment? People just throwing s**t on stage, have you seen that?

“I f****** dare you. Dare you to throw something at me and I’ll f****** kill you.”

Meanwhile, singer Charlie Puth tweeted his anger at the trend, writing: “This trend of throwing things at performers while they are on stage must come to an end.

“It’s so disrespectful and very dangerous.”

“Please just enjoy the music I beg of you.”
