Gill ‘just couldn’t hack it any longer’, according to an insider

Reality stars Pete Wicks and Amber Gill have both quit tough reality TV show Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, it has been reported.

According to a source, Wicks has broken a rib while filming for the show while Amber also quit within the first few days of filming.

“Amber is by no means a wimp, but just couldn’t hack it any longer,” a source told the Sun.

“She’s a reality star turned fitness expert and even she couldn’t stay longer than two days. She was gutted but couldn’t carry on.”

“Meanwhile, Pete really hurt himself on the course, and had to withdraw on medical grounds. Doing some of the stuff that the directing staff want you to do with a broken rib is just not possible. They both got an early flight home to the UK.”

Celebrities are currently filming the show in the Middle East. Others taking part include Ashley Cain, AJ and Curtis Pritchard and Maisie Smith.

Celebrity SAS involves celebrities undertaking gruelling physical and mental challenges similar to those carried out by real SAS professionals.

Although the official list of contestants due to take part in the forthcoming series is shrouded in rumours, there’s no official word yet from Channel 4 on who will be taking part. They said in a statement: “In the best traditions of the SAS, this mission is confidential. However, full details will be released when the series broadcasts next year.”

Gill won the 2019 season of Love Island with her former partner Greg O’Shea, and Wicks has been a TOWIE staple since 2015.
