It isn't the current favourite for the role...

Despite Slow Horses star Jack Lowden being the bookmakers' favourite to succeed Daniel Craig as James Bond, the man who first revealed Craig would take on the iconic role believes someone else will be named 007.

Back in 2006, Showbiz411 reporter Roger Friedman was the very first to detail that Craig would become cinema's best loved spy, and he's now come forward with his choice for the next actor to take over.

While director Denis Villeneuve was announced months ago, there has been little indication of who will take on the title role in the next instalment of the James Bond franchise.

According to reporting from Friedman, it is Callum Turner who will be chosen to replace Daniel Craig as James Bond.

This suggestion comes two weeks after reports emerged revealing Turner's decision to resign as a director of company Twentytwo Films Ltd — which he founded alongside his now wife, the popstar Dua Lipa,— and two weeks after he was named in reputable outlet Deadline's list of four final actors invited for final screen tests.

According to Friedman's report: "Word on the street is that Callum Turner is the next James Bond."

All that remains is for the producers to make an official announcement, confirming or denying whether Callum Turner is set to become the next James Bond.
