You might want to know this before ordering the new iPhone 8 in a couple of weeks

Cool feature - but at a cost

According to numerous reports, Apple will launch its newest model, reportedly called the iPhone 8 on September 12th.

It’s set to debut some pretty impressive new technology including a glass back, full-screen that stretches from edge to edge, OLED display, dual-camera, and the new model will apparently lose the traditional ‘home’ button.

There are some major changes and we’re totally fine with them as you’d expect to see improvements given the fact this model is going to be more expensive than former iPhones.

That said, there’s one aspect we’re not happy about.

If rumours are to be believed, the usual charging method is set to change and instead of a USB port, the iPhone 8 will have wireless charging capabilities.

This sounds great until you consider the extra cost involved.

According to multiple sources, wireless charging pads featuring Qi charging technology will be needed to restore battery to the new model.

The exact prices of the charging pads can differ depending on the retailer but either way, you’ll have to fork out on a new way to charge your phone.
