They’re just picking players randomly at this point

Asmir Begović has become the 13th player to be linked with Manchester United in the past 24 hours.

TalkSPORT have said that the 35-year-old is on the club’s radar to come in as an understudy to current number one David De Gea.

De Gea is still the first choice ‘keeper at Old Trafford despite being at fault for two of the four goals in their defeat against Brentford last weekend.

The Spaniard’s previous backup, Dean Henderson, is on loan at Nottingham Forest and is unlikely to return to United after giving a damning verdict on his lack of opportunities last season.

Erik ten Hag is desperate for new recruits at United after their dismal start to the season. The Red Devils are searching for attacking options and a holding midfielder.

Christian Pulisic and Casemiro have been two of the other latest names to be linked with a move to Old Trafford. United are interested in taking Pulisic on loan from Chelsea while a deal to bring Casemiro to the Premier League is set to prove to be more than difficult.

Man United

United have signed three players this summer: Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez, but none of the trio have shone in the opening games of the season.

There’s also the issue of Cristiano Ronaldo’s future before the end of the transfer window. Ronaldo wants to leave the club but has failed to gain any significant interest.

Ronaldo has said that he will reveal the truth behind everything in an interview in a “couple of weeks.”

United face Liverpool in their next game on August 22 at Old Trafford, where fans are expected to protest against the club’s owners once more.
