Galtier had a message for Mbappé

Fans have spotted a message relating to Kylian Mbappé inside Christophe Galtier’s notebook.

Paris Saint-Germain were held to a 1-1 draw by Benfica in the Champions League on Tuesday night and during the game, fans saw  a message inside Galtier’s book which read: “Kylian pref (the right).”

It comes just days after Mbappé deleted an Instagram story which appeared to take aim at the PSG boss after a 0-0 draw with Reims on Sunday night.

Mbappé posted a cryptic message with the hashtag ‘pivot gang’, which Get French Football News have claimed is in response to not wanting to play up front alone.

The forward was in the headlines hours before playing on Tuesday night as well after reports emerged claiming that the France international has expressed his desire to leave the Ligue 1 side only months after signing a new contract.

PSG do not want to let the forward leave and have reportedly told him that he would not be allowed to join Real Madrid – the club that tried to sign him in the summer transfer window – under any circumstances.

His strained relationship with Neymar has also made for conversation in recent months, with the pair arguing over who should take a penalty in PSG’s win against Montpellier in August.

Luís Campos, PSG’s sporting director, also insisted that the forward would not be leaving the club. Speaking to Canal Plus, he said: “Mbappé has never told me about his intention to leave in January. We speak with him.”

Despite the added confusion around his future, Mbappé found himself on the scoresheet for the Parisians however his effort was cancelled out by former West Ham midfielder Joao Mário, who equalised from the penalty spot.
