Sofyan Amrabat’s World Cup displays have led to him being awarded the title of standout player at at World Cup to be linked with a transfer.

Amrabat has been sensational in the middle of the park for Morocco as their brilliant run came to an end in the semi finals when they were beaten 2-0 by reigning champions France.

The Fiorentina man is now the talk of the world as all eyes are on where he will end up and people have one or two suggestions about where he could play.

One fan wrote: “He’s deffo going to [Nottingham] Forest.”

Another tweeted: “Rocco Commiso must be frothing from the mouth thinking about the extra zeros that were just added to Sofyan Amrabat’s transfer value.”

A third person said: “The moment I saw Amrabat win the ball back and dribble past 3 players just outside his own box in the 90th minute sold me on the transfer.”

Another person said: “Amrabat we get it, you want a transfer.”

Fiorentina’s accountant daydreaming about all the Amrabat money that’s going to be coming in the January transfer window:” another person wrote.

Despite all the speculation, which has included moves to Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, Amrabat has insisted that his only focus has been on Morocco’s World Cup campaign.

“It is a great honour to be associated with these kinds of clubs,” Amrabat told Marca. “Right now I’m playing for Fiorentina. I have a lot of respect for my club, it’s a great team.

“I have a great coach [Vincenzo Italiano] and a wonderful relationship with the owner Rocco Commisso, who brought me to Fiorentina, and also with Joe Barone [general manager] and Daniele Prade [sporting director]. I have a lot of respect for them and for the club.”
