Diego Costa drives round the streets of Brazil in a tractor

Who needs supercars when you have a tractor?

Diego Costa was seen driving around the streets of Brazil in a tractor this week after Atletico Mineiro secured a domestic double earlier this month.

The former Chelsea and Atletico Madrid striker returned to his homeland after leaving the Spanish side in December 2020, after winning the La Liga title on two occasions.

The 33-year-old – who has also won two Premier League titles and the Europa League – made 19 appearances for Mineiro this season, scoring five goals and registering one assist after joining mid-season.

While the domestic double was wrapped up earlier this month, the forward had continued his celebrations late into the year – but not in the flashy manner you might have expected.

Costa took to Instagram to post a clip of himself driving a huge tractor to his five million followers.

Some reports suggested that the frontman drove the vehicle to one of his kids’ matches.

Just four months after returning to his native Brazil, Costa became a Serie A champion as Mineiro won their first title in five decades.

Then, only a matter of a days later, the Brazilian side completed the domestic double with a crushing 6-1 win on aggregate over Athletico Paranaense, ensuring they won the Copa do Brasil.
