Chelsea have launched an investigation into the allegations
Chelsea are investigating an allegation of racism aimed towards Tottenham forward Heung-min Son at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Son played 79 minutes of the game in west London before being replaced by Yves Bissouma and the incident is said to have taken place in the second half when the South Korean took a corner in front of the Shed End.
The 30-year-old has previously been a victim of racism in England before. A supporter was fined in 2019 for racially abusing Son during a Carabao Cup fixture against West Ham United.
Three season ticket holders at Manchester United were also banned after sending racially abusive messages to the Spurs forward online.
Tottenham came from behind twice to salvage a draw at Stamford Bridge against their fierce rivals. Kalidou Koulibaly scored his first goal for Chelsea with a thumping volley from Marc Cucurella’s corner.
Pierre-Emile Højbjerg equalised before Reece James fired the Blues back in front. With Chelsea looking like they would hold on to the win, Harry Kane made it 2-2 in the dying seconds with a header from a corner.
Both Antonio Conte and Thomas Tuchel were sent off at full-time after clashing on the touchline twice, the first of those after Højbjerg’s goal in which Conte celebrated in the face of Tuchel.
Conte then retaliated as Tuchel held onto the hand of the Italian during the post-match handshake, giving referee Anthony Taylor no option but to show them red cards. The two have both been charged over alleged improper behaviour.
Meanwhile the Football Association are investigating comments made by Tuchel about Taylor during the post-match conference.
