Candi had a ‘fanbase like no other’

Marystown’s sister, Marsha McEvoy, confirmed that she had died on Sunday, days after she posted a video that explained the “voices in her head had gone silent”.

The cause of death has not yet been revealed – but Marsha stated the death was “unexpected”.

Writing on a Gofundme page, which Marsha hopes will help pay for funeral costs, she said: “We have received some news no one wants to hear. Tonight we lost a huge part of our family, my sister Candice.

“This was very unexpected, and our hearts are torn apart. Candice was so full of life and always lived life her own way.”

Marsha said that her sister has a “fanbase like no other” and has encouraged fans to continue watching the star’s videos.

She said: “Let’s now look back at all her videos and keep them as our keepsakes to keep us smiling while we deal with this loss. She will be missed terribly by many.

“We just know she is dancing in the sky now. We all know how much she believed in Heaven, she is certainly there.”

Before her death, Candi had uploaded several videos to her two TikTok accounts.

In one video, Candi is seen Lipsyncing to: “I hate it when the voices in my head go silent because then I don’t know what those f**kers are up to.”

The Gofundme has currently raised $17,000, and Marsha said any remaining money would be given to Candi’s son, Maxwell.
