Speaking to the Miami Herald, the influencer's defence attorney Frank Prieto said he was “completely shocked”, adding: “Especially since we were cooperating with the investigation and offered to voluntarily surrender her if she were charged.”
“We look forward to clearing her name in court,” he added.
The OnlyFans star, who racked up two million followers on Instagram, had been at a rehab facility in Hawaii for substance abuse and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) when she was picked up by police, her defence attorney said.
She called officers just before 5pm on April 3 to report that Obumseli had been stabbed.

Clenney's arrest follows a four-month investigation by Miami police detectives. The killing allegedly took place during a domestic dispute at their apartment but Clenney's defence insisted that she was acting in self-defence when Obumseli grabbed her by the throat after stalking her for weeks. The couple were not together when Obumseli was killed.
In the days after Obumseli's death, his relatives urged police to arrest Clenney, claiming that he had not been a threat. Clenney had been arrested in the past for domestic battery in Las Vegas, and police had been called to the couple's previous home in Austin Texas on numerous occasions throughout their less-than two year relationship.
At their most recent Miami pad, staff members had documented numerous domestic disturbance complaints about the couple and were seeking to evict them.
