Karen’s Diner apologises after waiter called customer a ‘pedo’ and an ‘OnlyFans tart’

While Karen's Diner is known for insulting customers, one employee may have taken it too far, and now the company has been forced to apologise. The Howard family from north Brisbane were "disgusted" over the weekend with the service they received at the infamous Karen Diner, where you're served by "rude waiters who in return are expecting you to give it full Karen." But while dining at the restaurant in Westfield Chermside, the Howard's found themselves faced w ith a sticky situation. According to the Courier Mail, the family were dining during the restaurant's "child-friendly" hours, which basically means you don't get roasted to the max in front of your kids. But dad Stacey Howard claims a member of staff was very inappropriate. Howard said his daughter's jaw "hit the floor", and she "sat on my lap because she was concerned" after the waiter called a young boy a "c**t." Howard added: "He said 'what are you a pedo?', 'are you all having sex with each other?'" Though the situation may seem ironic, given that the whole point is rudeness, Howard argues that the staff member went too far and forgot what being a Karen is actually about. He explained: "The epitome of a Karen for us is someone who whinges but the amount of swearing and vulgarness on that Sunday was just crazy. "We are a pretty out there family and don't mind banter and a bit of a laugh but it got to the point that it was just vulgar. "My daughter and my mother in law were just sitting there dumbfounded, it got that uncomfortable that we just stood up and left." A spokesperson for the brand said they "wholeheartedly" apologised to the family while an investigation is launched into the matter. They continued: "This incident was raised to us directly and we are currently conducting a thorough investigation. "As a venue, we are all about offering a fun experience for all patrons. We have strict guidelines in place for both staff and customers, so we were really disappointed to learn of this incident that occured on Sunday."
