Martin Shkreli wants you to punch him in the face for charity

The Pharma-bro is auctioning off the chance to hit him to raise money for charity

The French have a term called ‘Têtes à claques’ – roughly translated, it means “a face so maddening you can’t help but want to slap it.

We here at JOE never want to endorse unsanctioned, unprovoked acts of violence, but there are many things a person can do to earn a têtes à claques.

Chief among them would probably be rising the price of a life saving drug price from $13.50 to $750.

You know, like pharmaceutical executive and hedge fund manager Martin Shkreli did back in September 2015.

Shkreli has fast become one of the internet’s most prominent supervillains since increasing the price of HIV treatment drug Daraprim by 5,556%. From buying the one of a kind Wu Tang album for $2 million, to offering a Chinese company to resurrect Harambe, there doesn’t appear to be a limit to what he’s willing to to.

Including offering people the chance to punch him in the face. For charity.

Following the passing of his friend and publicist Mike Kulich, who died earlier this month of cancer, Shkreli is offering people the chance to deal him one punch to the face in a bid to raise money for Mike’s young son.

At time of writing, donations have almost reached $10,000 with Martin promising to match any money raised.

He’s made some dubious choices, but if Mr. Shkreli stays true to his word then this will be a wonderful good deed.
