According to the Tinder website, if you swipe on a profile that has been shared with you, your profile may appear in their recommendations - as long as you meet your potential match’s preferences.
The feature will be tested in various markets and may differ in appearance and functionality depending on location.
Tinder users can also opt out of having a shareable profile by visiting Discovery Settings.
Of course, the danger is that many Tinder users will simply use the new feature to annoy their friends by sending them profiles they know full well their mates will have no intention of matching with.
If it’s used as Tinder intends, however, they could be onto a winner.
