If only we could think of a similar ploy to eke out more time in the pub.

This dog clearly values its time in the park, so much so that he prefers to lie there - completely motionless - than go home. As shown by the video below, filmed in a park in Atlanta, the golden retriever decides to play dead when its owner decides it's time to leave. After several failed attempts, the owner finally manages to coax the dog back on to all four paws. https://youtu.be/P9MYmbrEUm4 What a hero.
