Well it turns out sharing these messages could be a sign of lower intelligence, at least according to the brilliantly titled study
'On the reception and detection of pseudo-profound bullsh*t'.
The study found that 'both ontological confusions and religious belief were positively correlated with bullsh*t receptivity.'
'Bullsh*t is a consequential aspect of the human condition,' the study's conclusion explains.
'Indeed, with the rise of communication technology, people are likely encountering more bullsh*t in their everyday lives than ever before.'
