Fox News presenter makes a ridiculous suggestion for stopping shark attacks (Video)

For Fox sake, Kilmeade now...

Nobody wants to get bitten by a shark, but if you’re surfing off the coast of South Africa there’s a very good chance you’ll be sharing the water with Jaws and his mates.

Aussie world champion boarder Mick Fanning almost found out to his cost as he was attacked by a shark live on TV during the J-Bay Open on the country’s Eastern Cape. It was a lucky escape.

Now Fox News presenter Brian Kilmeade has waded in with his view on the matter…and it’s as mad-cap as you’d express from the US channel.

Just clear the whole ocean of sharks, silly. Problem solved.

Speaking on Fox and Friends, Kilmeade said attacks on “just swimmers” in North Carolina didn’t worry him, but now that one of the toothy sea creatures had targeted a pro surfer, s**t had got too real and it was time for action.

He said: “I think the most shocking thing is that after you hear about the six attacks in North Carolina, okay, these are just swimmers.

“But then when you see a champion surfer and you have a three camera shoot and an overhead shot, say ‘Oh my goodness, it could happen anywhere’.”

He continued: “You would think that they would have a way of clearing the waters for a competition of this level. But I guess they don’t.”

Elisabeth Hasselbeck added this little pearl of wisdom: “If a three-time world champion surfer isn’t safe, who is?”
