Australian rugby star grants dying girl’s last wish in one of the classiest moves we’ve seen

What an incredible thing to do

Alan Loughnane

This is wonderful.

Mahalia Murphy, from Australia, posted a message on social media on Tuesday appealing for help.

Her friend, Kia Lettice, is fighting cancer in the Prince of Wales hospital in Sydney and at the time of the post, she was given just hours to live.

Mahalia posted the following message:

“URGENT REQUEST!!! Any assistance to boost my friend up? She is currently in Prince of Wales hospital and has roughly 4 hours to live as she’s fighting cancer. She wants Greg Inglis or Beau Ryan To come see her. If everyone can share this or get in contact for me this would be much appreciated.”

Greg Inglis and Beau Ryan are both rugby league players, with Ryan having recently retired. They are both heroes to Kia, so Mahalia took it upon herself to start a campaign to get one of the pair to visit her dying friend.

It seems Beau Ryan saw her message and replied to the post:

And the former rugby league star wasn’t lying as he showed up at the hospital to meet Kia.

What a legend…
