When we think back to the consoles of the 1990s, the majority of our minds will immediately go to the PlayStation and PlayStation 2. But for some, the console that they remember the fondest is the Sega Dreamcast.
It was, unfortunately for fans and the company behind it, dwarfed by the Goliath that was the PS2, which remains the best-selling console of all time with 155 units sold.
So why did the Dreamcast, which is considered by many critics and gamers to have been ahead of its time, fail so badly that it permanently sent Sega out of the console market?
