That's not true of course, my name isn't Mario, but that's a thing Mario Mario says (that's legitimately his full name, look it up).
This is all a pointless preamble to say that Nintendo have today announced their latest Mario Kart title, and it's a massive change from the previous entries.
Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit will see players use their Switch screen as a controller - nothing unusual there - but rather than racing on the usual tracks like Rainbow Road and Toad's Turnpike, they will instead control RC cars along what is essentially an augmented reality track.
Here's how Nintendo described it:
"The physical kart responds to boosts in-game and in the real world, stops when hit with an item and can be affected in different ways depending on the race," they said.
"Players place gates to create a custom course layout in their home, where the only limit is their imagination. Race against Koopalings in Grand Prix, unlock a variety of course customisations and costumes for Mario or Luigi, and play with up to four players in local multiplayer mode."
