New supermarket curry is so hot that it comes with a safety warning

Paul Moore

Know anyone that could handle this?

If you’re adventurous when it comes to food and if you’ve got taste buds that are made of steel, Morrisons have a red-hot ready-meal that’s designed to blow your socks off.

On National Curry Week, they’ve launched the ‘Volcanic Vindalo’ and it includes chillies that are 200 times hotter than what you’re used to eating.

In case you’re wondering, it’s made with Naga chillies, which have a Scoville rating of up to one million, and it’s topped with roasted whole green chillies.

Here’s what we imagine eating it is like.

In fact, it’s so severe that the supermarket are only encouraging people over the age of 16 to eat the curry.

A spokesperson for the supermarket said: “Curry fans have been telling us that they just don’t get the fiery heat they want from ordinary ready meal curries. With this in mind we decided to take up their challenge and create the hottest ready meal in the country – something with the extreme heat you get when you order a Vindaloo in your favourite restaurant. I’m used to tasting spicy curries as part of my job but this one blew my head off. It tastes fantastic but my mouth felt like it was on fire. You definitely need to have a glass of milk ready.”

For the sake of £1.50, do you fancy seeing how spicy you can go?

Have some milk ready!
