UK comedian unrecognisable as he transforms into an elderly man for sitcom

He looks completely different

British comedian Jon Richardson has left fans completely baffled in images for a new series of his sitcom.

The 41-year-old is best known for his work on 8 Out of 10 Cats as well as his work alongside Russell Howard on BBC Radio 6.

However, since 2020, the star has had his own sitcom, Meet the Richardsons, where he stars as a fictionalised version of himself alongside his wife Lucy Beaumont.

With the new series set to air next week, the first images from the show have surfaced, and Jon’s transformation into an elderly man has left people stunned.

A source told The Mirror of the reasons behind the shocking look.

“Jon was transformed into an OAP,” they explained to the outlet.

“The change was nothing short of incredible. Jon loved having such a brilliant disguise and used the opportunity to get up to mischief.

“He went out to a pub and annoyed the punters for a laugh.”

Fans responded to the pictures on social media, and it seems a lot of people were in the same boat having no clue who it was.

“I couldn’t recognise Jon Richardson,” one person wrote.

A second put: “I like Jon Richardson but I wouldn’t have known it was him. He does love a cardi though.”

However, others were more observant and immediately clocked Jon from his clothes.

“Recognised him immediately from his cardigan,” one person said.

A second agreed: “At least he could wear his own clothes!”

The upcoming series of Meet the Richardsons is set to air on April 8.
