It combines his love for farming and cars

Jeremy Clarkson is about to take farming to a rather unexpected destination: the garage.

The presenter will attempt to build a car using materials grown on his Oxfordshire farm in a new Prime Video special, 'Jeremy Grows a Car: A Clarkson’s Farm Special'.

Prime Video describes the programme as a 'cross between Clarkson’s Farm and The Grand Tour,' following Clarkson as he takes on what the streaming service has called a “world first” by attempting to grow and build his own car from produce at Diddly Squat Farm.

He will start with a Jaguar F-Type V6S, but the finished version is set to look rather different.

Clarkson plans to replace the interior with leather and wool produced from materials grown at the farm.

Flax is another key part of the project, with Clarkson planning to grow it at Diddly Squat and turn the fibres into a composite material designed to replace carbon fibre.

He won’t be taking on the challenge alone, with car designer Ian Callum, who worked on the original Jaguar F-Type and Aston Martin Vanquish, helping Clarkson turn his farm-grown materials into a working car.

The special is being made by Expectation, with Andy Wilman, Peter Fincham and Zoe Brewer executive producing.

There is no exact release date yet, but Jeremy Grows a Car is expected to land on Prime Video during 2027.
