Stranger Things 5 first scene has been released

Stranger Things 5 looks like it’s ready

The writers of Stranger Things have released the very first scene from the upcoming fifth and final season of the show.

Yesterday, November 6, was Stranger Things Day. This is the date in the show when Will Byers goes missing in the very first episode, and is celebrated every year by fans.

Each year, Netflix and the show’s creators will often release special content for fans and make announcements about the series, such as last year when it was confirmed that the script for the fifth series had been written.

And this year, we were treated to a glimpse at the very first scene of that script, after the show writers shared a picture of it on X.

The small snippet reads: “DARKNESS. The sound of COLD WIND. GROANING TREES. And…

“A CHILD’S VOICE. Singing a familiar song:”

And that’s how the show’s final season will begin.

Fans were quick to speculate about who the child was and what song he was singing, with one character springing to mind for many: Will Byers.

One fan simply wrote: “IT’S WILL.”

Another commented: “A FLASHBACK OF WILL IN THE UPSIDE DOWN IS HOW S5 STARTS”

Others agreed that the child would be Will, and suggested the song would be The Clash’s ‘Should I Stay or Should I Go’, a song which played a big part in the show’s first season.

Stranger Things is arguably the streaming platform’s biggest show. Season four of the show was released last summer and broke a huge amount of records, and sparked a revival for a certain Kate Bush song.

The next season of Stranger Things will be the fifth and final one, but it could still be a while before we get to see how the story of Eleven, Hawkins, and The Upside Down concludes.

Filming on season five was due to begin in May this year, but was put on hold after the Writers Guild of the America went on strike.

The creators of Stranger Things, the Duffer Brothers, officially announced that production would not go ahead until the writers strike is over.

On September 27, the writers strike came to an end, meaning production could get going again.

At this point, very little is known about season five, so we’ll just have to sit tight and wait for more updates.
