Seth Rogen teaming up with Bad Neighbours co-star for new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie

Rogen has enlisted a star-studded cast

Seth Rogen has announced a raft of big-name acting talent who are set to feature in the upcoming animation Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Rogen, who is serving as a producer for the remake of the cult-classic, made public the illustrious ensemble at Saturday's Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. [caption id="attachment_769905" align="alignnone" width="640"] Rogen speaking at Saturday's Kids' Choice Awards.[/caption] Included in the cast is Rogen's co-star from the Bad Neighbours franchise, Rose Byrne, with the Australian actress undertaking the role of the turtles' ally, Leatherhead. Acting legend Jackie Chan is also set to be involved, with the legendary stuntman set to voice the iconic role of the ninjas' stoic mentor Splinter. Seth Rogen himself will star in the animation as the movie's antagonist, Bebop. Whilst WWE superstar come comedic actor, John Cena, named as the voice actor for Rogen's nefarious sidekick, Rocksteady. Seth Rogen has lined up a whopper cast

The beloved quartet of the ninja turtles themselves are to be portrayed by Micah Abbey (Donatello), Shamon Brown Jr. (Michelangelo), Nicolas Cantu (Leonardo) and Brady Noon (Raphael). There were also the additions of the likes of the rapper Ice Cube as Superfly, musician Post Malone as Ray Fillet and Marvel star Paul Rudd as Mondo Gecko. "We are beyond thrilled by this world-class cast we’ve assembled to bring these iconic, beloved characters to life in a new chapter of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe", said Ramsey Naito, the president of Nickelodeon and Paramount Animation, when speaking after Rogen's announcement. [caption id="attachment_769919" align="alignnone" width="640"] Marvel star Paul Rudd will voice Mondo Gecko.[/caption] In the upcoming movie, the Turtle brothers aim to win the hearts of New Yorkers by performing heroic acts they hope will see them accepted as normal teenagers. However, when they take on a notorious crime syndicate, aided by new friend April O’Neil, the brothers find themselves out of their depth when a mutant army is set loose on the city. The movie is being directed by well-known tv writer Jeff Rowe, and marks Nickelodeon’s first theatrical CG-animation.
