Prince Charles restores order after dog causes chaos on This Morning

It looks like he saved the day.

Prince Charles saved an entire television set from what was obviously a vicious dog attack on today's This Morning. A resident puppy was wreaking havoc during a segment in which presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were introducing the Prince of Wales to the show's medical assistance dogs in training. The puppy in question, known only as 'Digby' or 'likkle Diggums', was quietly nibbling on a microphone that had been placed closely in front of him in scenes that can only be described as 'not particularly distressing'. Viewers across the country were on the edges of their seats as the situation threatened to escalate out of the control of the show runners and production team. Fortunately, the Prince was on hand to step in and assert the kind of authority Theresa May can only dream about, gently moving the microphone away from the pup, who then couldn't get the microphone back, because he was a dog. The Royal also pretended to throw the microphone as though it was a stick, but he didn't, because it wasn't, and was actually quite an expensive piece of equipment. Later, a clearly grateful Holly Willoughby thanked the throne-watcher for his brave actions, stating that he had "restored order". "Thank you sir," she added. The microphone in question, which belonged to ITV news correspondent Chris Ship, "was covered in dog drool" according to a relieved Phillip Schofield. The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall were both in the studio to celebrate 30 years of This Morning and had enjoyed a relatively carefree day up until the attack occurred. Reports indicate that nobody was hurt in the incident, but the Prince's face did go a bit red.
