Harlan Coben's new mystery thriller series I Will Find You has rocketed to the top of the Netflix TV charts.
Adapted from the author's 2023 novel of the same name, the show follows David Burroughs (Sam Worthington, Avatar), a man wrongfully serving a life sentence for the murder of his son.
When he receives word from an old reporter friend (Britt Lower, Severance) that his son may actually be alive, David embarks on a truth-finding mission, breaking out of prison and "into a world of deceit and despair".
You can read about the early response from critics to I Will Find You in this JOE article right here.
But, if you are one of the Netflix viewers to have already binged the entire series, you may also enjoy this older TV adaptation of one of Coben's novels: 2021's The Innocent.
Made in Spain by acclaimed director Oriol Paulo (The Body, The Invisible Guest, Julia's Eyes), the show follows Mateo (Mario Casas - Bird Box Barcelona, The Invisible Guest), who, one day, innocently tried to break up a fight that ended in a homicide.
Now, nine years later, he’s trying to start from scratch with his wife, Olivia (Aura Garrido - The Ministry of Time, Stockholm).
A shocking call from her phone while she’s on a business trip, unsettles Matt. Soon, he finds himself on a frenetic race to discover the truth, while his innocence is questioned again.
In a 2024 post on X, Harlan Coben said that out of all the series adaptations of his work on Netflix not in the English language, The Innocent was his favourite.
Available to watch dubbed or with subtitles, the eight-part show is on the streamer now.
