Console gamers rejoice!
It’s no secret that gaming is a pretty expensive hobby.
Whether you’re loyal to Playstation, Xbox, Nintendo, or PC, it’s never been more costly to own the latest games and the latest consoles.
Luckily for Playstation users, Sony have announced a stellar free download you’re going to want to get your hands on.
It’s called Predecessor, a fast-paced action game being developed by Omeda Studios.
Over the past year, gamers have been able to play a beta version of the game exclusively on PC.
However Sony have just announced that Playstation lovers will soon be able to play the beta on console for free!
Predecessor, coming soon to a Playstation near you
So, what is Predecessor?
Well according to Omeda Studios themselves, players can expect:
“A fast-paced action game that combines MOBA and FPS gameplay, putting you at the heart of the fight with strategic choice, third-person control, and immersive action.”
Luckily the beta version of the game has been running on PC for quite some time.
So we know exactly what console players who sign up to try it out on Playstation can expect.
Basically it’s a combat game in which you team up with four fellow heroes, and fight to the death as part of two teams of five.
New Playstation beta has shades of Overwatch 2
Every hero in Predecessor has their own unique design and abilities.
Winning fights earns you gold which you can spend on new powers, new combat locations, and better abilities.
Until now, beta players on the PC have been able to enjoy 10 different heroes, this will increase to 30 when the Playstation version is launched next month.
Oh and one final thing…
For all of you hardcore gamers out there, Omeda have confirmed that any progress made whilst playing the beta will carry over when the game fully launches!
The upcoming beta will be cross-platform and is due to kick off on PlayStation 4 and 5 on 5 December.
