Grounded! Musk’s mum scuppers cage fight with Zuckerberg

The billionaire brawl could be off following a very public intervention

A high-profile cage fight between the world’s foremost tech billionaires could be off following a motherly intervention.

Promising the next Hell In A Cell with a fiery social media challenge, Elon Musk threw down the gauntlet with an offer to fight Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg at the Vegas Octagon last week.

Zukerberg has been training in mixed martial arts (MMA) and has recently won jiu-jitsu tournaments.

It promised to be a David vs Goliath battle for Musk, who admitted to never working out “except for picking up my kids and throwing them in the air”.

The Twitter CEO was offered help from Andrew Tate who told his followers that training Musk to victory will “restore honour with a strike at the enemy clans (sic) leader”.

Tate promised Musk, “You will not lose”.

But he may have underestimated a greater force than Zuckerberg in the shape of Musk’s mum, the South African model Maye Musk.

In a very public intervention, she posted her disapproval at the billionaire-versus-billionaire brawl due to take place in Nevada later this year.

“Don’t encourage this match!” she tweeted at podcaster Lex Fridman last week, before adding: “Actually, I cancelled the fight. I haven’t told them yet. But I will continue to say the fight is cancelled, just in case.”

The concerned mum has attempted to get people on board with her idea for a non-violent bout, suggesting an encounter with ‘three questions each’ in which the ‘funniest answers win’.

“Who agrees?,” she wrote.

Not many people, I’m afraid. “Sometimes a sons just gotta throw hands,” one person replied.

Cue the Step Brothers memes!
