Tate wants to get revenge on Zuckerberg for banning him from his platforms

Andrew Tate, who is set to stand trail for human trafficking and rape, has offered to train Elon Musk in his upcoming cage match with Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg.

Tate, who won several championship belts during his career, Tweeted Thursday that he saw Musk’s bout with Zuckerberg as his chance to get one back on the Meta boss who had “banned me everywhere for telling the truth about vaccines”. The controversial influencer was banned from Meta’s platforms in 2022.

The 36-year-old, who was charged along with his brother Tristan and two others, told his followers training Musk to victory will “restore honour with a strike at the enemy clans (sic) leader”.

Tate promised Musk, “You will not lose.”

It isn’t clear how Tate, who can’t leave Romania and is involved in lengthy court proceedings, could train Musk.

Musk is yet to reply to the offer.

Meta said in August that it banned Tate from Instagram and Facebook for violating policies around dangerous organisations and individuals and for infringing its guidelines on hate speech.

Tate had almost 5 million Instagram followers at the time, and was widely considered a misogynist for the messages he pushed on his social platforms.

Telsa boss, Musk, suggested on Twitter that he was “up for a cage match” if Zuckerberg is, then later suggested the pair go “full MMA”.

Last month, Zuckerberg stunned onlookers winning a gold and a silver at a jiu-jitsu tournament. The 39-year-old has been training and impressing athletes within MMA circles in recent years. Musk, on the other hand, described one of his signature fighting moves as “The Walrus,” where he lies on top of his opponent and does nothing, The Insider reported.

Zuckerberg, 39, responded to Musk, 51, on Instagram, writing “send me location.”

While Zuckerberg’s reply appeared to be a tongue-in-cheek, The Verge later reported that a Meta spokesperson indicated that the Meta CEO was serious about getting into the octagon with Musk.

“The story speaks for itself,” spokesperson Iska Saric told the outlet’s Alex Heath.

Musk is suggesting they fight at the “Vegas Octagon,” or the Las Vegas UFC Apex arena, but nothing has been formalised.

The battle of social media titans was floated after rumours began circulating that Meta might launch a rival to Twitter called Threads.

Musk, who purchased Twitter in October 2022, has often beefed with Zuckerberg and suggested his rival is trying to take over the world, and seemed politically “partisan.”

Sports betting websites, the Insider reported, have Zucerberg as the hot favourite, given he’s much younger and already training in the sport.

Even Musk’s mum doesn’t rate his chances.

Maye Musk is trying to get her son to drop the fight. “No joking,” she tweeted.

“Fight with words only. In armchairs. 4 feet apart. The funniest person wins.”
