If you’ve come here expecting to avoid spoilers, that is your own fault

Leave now if you don’t want to know what happened.

Go on, leave.

Still here? Cool. Let’s proceed.

And so, King’s Landing fell. The inevitable sacking of the city came just as Daenerys promised, through fire and blood. This much we could have predicted. But many aspects of the show’s penultimate episode greatly disappointed fans, who have tweeted their rage.

Some took aim at the show creators known as D&D, David Benihoff and D.B. Weiss for disappointing and ill-judged character arcs. One tweeter channelled their rage through the medium of notorious Manchester United fan, Andy Tate.

Such is the beauty of social media, disappointed fans did not let a sub-par episode (or season) get in the way of them finding creative ways to slam its downfall.

Many fans were disappointed with Jaime Lannister’s decision to reunite with Cersei, his sister whom he has always loved, given how much time went into his redemption arc.

Others were just plain disgusted.

Still, at least the cinematography was good.
