Plot's it all about? Whether you loved or hated Batman V Superman, in light of recent events, all eyes are on Justice League. With the phenomenal success of Wonder Woman, there is new hope that DC and Warner Brothers are taking these movies in an improved direction. Additionally, following a tragedy within his family, original director Zack Snyder has bowed out of the director's chair mid-shoot, and has been replaced by Joss Whedon, who previously helped Marvel successfully get all of their superheroes into one big mash-up with the first two Avengers movies.
Plot wise, it looks like there is a threat so big on the horizon that it requires all hands on deck, including the "Oh my Gosh, we had no idea, what a shocking surprise!" return of a certain Mr Clark K. No, wait, that's too obvious. Mr C. Kent. Much better.
Following the "darker-doesn't-necessarily-mean-better" mantra of Wonder Woman, this looks like less of a heavy brow, downbeat mumble fest we've had so far, and returns to what looks like the pure fun and escapism of what you might expect from a man dressed as a bat (sorry Nolan, but this is all your fault) and another who wears his red underpants on the outside of the rest of his clothes.
We really, really, REALLY want this to be good.
Starring: Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Ezra Miller, J.K. Simmons, Billy Crudup, Amy Adams, Connie Nielsen, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons.
Directed by: Zack Snyder (with additional direction by Joss Whedon)
UK release date: 17 November
