The full-backs have failed to impress the United manager, who has used Ashley Young in a left-wing back role. The 32-year-old England international has been excellent in the position, but he is out of contract at the end of the season. The club have the option to extend his deal by another 12 months, but Young, despite his impressive recent displays, isn't the long-term solution to the problem position.
