Emile Heskey reveals who his dream ‘super vets signing’ would be following Usain Bolt arrival

A man can dream...

In a brilliant career from 1994 to 2016, Heskey scored over 100 league goals, whilst being capped for England 62 times.

Starting off at Leicester City, he then played for the likes of Liverpool, Birmingham City, Wigan Athletic, Aston Villa and Bolton Wanderers.

Now though, he is part of the famous Wythenshawe Vets, a famous local side in the Cheshire Veterans Football League.

With a star-studded squad, he is now teammates with Stephen Ireland, Papiss Cisse, Antonio Valencia, Joleon Lescott and Danny Drinkwater. Most notably, Usain Bolt has since been added to the ranks.

Asked on his dream signing for the club, Heskey told pay by mobile casino site Casino Kings: "I don’t know if he’s retired yet - but [Luis] Suárez or someone like that!. Although I can’t see him coming back from Miami to Wythenshawe and enjoying the weather."

Then quizzed on whether he had trained with Usain Bolt yet, Heskey responded:

"No, no. I haven’t seen him yet.

"I’ve only been to one game so far. I think when his schedule permits, he’ll come and play.

"Stephen Ireland and his team are just mad. They manage to get anyone they want. Some of the players they get, I’m thinking: “What are you doing here?”

With such a brilliant squad on paper, Heskey was then questioned on whether there was anymore famous names that have potentially been lured in:

"Not that I know of. More or less everyone they’ve asked has said yes and come along.

"It’s just a bit of fun, isn’t it? You’re enjoying those last few years while your legs can still take running around."
