Leaked kit season is upon us…
Pictures have surfaced of what is thought to be the new Manchester United home kit for the 2022-23 season – and it’s likely to be a popular one.
Several images of kits were released online, only for some to be dismissed as fakes by Footy Headlines – a website which we’ve come to know and love for having its finger pressed firmly on the leaked kit pulse – who have now given us a glimpse of the real deal.
Issues such as the dimensions of the crest and the printing on the shirts are also heavily flawed, but the first batch of genuine leaked photos display a much more impressive shirt.
For those familiar with their retro football shirts, the kit provides some nods towards the 90s – a golden era for the club under Sir Alex Ferguson.
Most notable is the lovely collar and button look, with the white collar – which will no doubt get the thumbs up from Monsieur Cantona – standing out against the all-too familiar red of the home shirt.
Its stand out feature is undoubtedly the collar, which features a bold triangular print design.
For the first time in years, United’s crest will also be surrounded by a shield – a design which also favoured on their much-loved 1994-1996 home shirt.
The shirt will, as expected, also feature the club’s shirt sponsor TeamViewer. Sponsors sometimes have the capacity to ruin a shirt, however this one blends in quite nicely and, unlike those Chevrolet logos, isn’t visible from space.
Leaked kit season is upon us. Buckle in.
