MasterChef’s John Torode reveals why he was rushed to hospital over Christmas

Fans of MasterChef presenter John Torode were given a shock when his partner suddenly announced he'd been rushed to hospital just after Christmas.

Lisa Faulkner shared a picture of the celebrity chef on a bed in St Mary's Hospital, London, saying only that he was 'very bruised' after having a 'lucky escape'.

However this morning the presenter tweeted to thank hospital staff and say he was on the mend. The MasterChef star didn't go into any more detail, leading to some so speculated as to what exactly he was riding when the accident happened.
