Days after Elon Musk proposed a "d*** measuring" contest with Mark Zuckerberg, the Meta boss has shown he's wasting no time preparing for their proposed cage fight.
Zuckerberg posted a picture on Instagram Wednesday showing his ripped physique, as he stood next to some of the UFC's most successful fighters.
The 39-year-old showed off the shadow of an emerging six-pack while standing between Israel Adesanya and Alex Volkanovski. The post has over two million likes.
Adesanya and Volkanovski have 50 UFC wins and only four losses between the two of them.
“No fugazi with Mark. This is serious business,” Adesanya captioned the three-picture post, seemingly nodding to Zuckerberg’s potential cage fight with Musk.
The training snap comes after Musk this week suggested the two billionaires drop their trousers and see whose penis is longer.
Having tweeted that “Zuck is a cuck”, Musk went on to suggest he and Zuckerberg should have “a literal d***-measuring contest”. The tweet included a ruler emoji.
The challenge came after Zuckerberg’s new platform, Threads, surpassed 100 million users, Monday, according to Techcrunch, beating a record set by Open AI’s ChatGPT app. Threads, dubbed the “Twitter killer”, went live on Apple and Android app stores in 100 countries, including the UK, last Wednesday.
Zuckerberg said he “couldn’t believe” the milestone had been reached so fast.
Musk has threatened to sue.
Twitter has about 250 million active users but it has been battered by controversy and technical problems since Musk purchased amid much fanfare in October last year for $44 billion.
Musk started the ball rolling when he responded to a tweet warning him that Zuckerberg knows jiu-jitsu, off the back of rumours the Meta boss was starting up a platform to rival his – the now-launched, Threads.
He wrote: “I’m up for a cage match if he is.” Zuckerberg hit back with, “Send Location”.
Zuckerberg is widely expected to win any potential octagon challenge come out on top over the 52-year-old Musk, especially after winning gold and silver medals at a Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournament in May.
When the Facebook founder appeared as a guest on “The Joe Rogan Experience” last year, he told UFC commentator and podcast host Joe Rogan about his interest for the sport, which began during the pandemic.
Zuckerberg has since posted a host of photos while training with the top names in MMA and jiu-jitsu, including black belt competitor Mikey Musumeci, MMA world champ trainer Dave Camarillo and cage fighter Khai Wu.
Musk has tapped his own high-profile trainers. Two weeks ago, the Twitter owner was pictured during an “impromptu” training session with Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Lex Fridman.
He has also accepted an offer from UFC legend Georges St-Pierre to train him for the impending cage match.

The tech moguls had earlier agreed on Las Vegas and UFC boss Dana White is keen to make it happen. Both men are said to be very “serious” about it.
