Greta Thunberg calls out hypocrisy of world leaders after fire in Gulf of Mexico

"This is the world they are leaving for us."

Greta Thunberg has responded to the awful fire that broke out on the surface of the Gulf of Mexico, calling out world leaders for their lack of action against climate change. The climate activist quote tweeted a video of the shocking scenes, saying: "Meanwhile the people in power call themselves "climate leaders" as they open up new oilfields, pipelines and coal power plants - granting new oil licenses exploring future oil drilling sites. "This is the world they are leaving for us." The fire took over five hours to extinguish, and was caused by an underwater pipeline rupturing.
