Finally! Twitter starts testing new edit button

Homenews

'This is happening and you'll be okay', the social media giant posted

Twitter has started testing its eagerly anticipated edit button, it announced this afternoon. Users will be given an option to 'Edit Tweet' in a drop-down context menu. It is thought people will get 30 minutes after they publish to use the button before the tweet becomes uneditable. The roll-out is expected to start as soon as this month, the social media giant said. https://twitter.com/Twitter/status/1565318587736285184?s=20&t=TzZfTXygu7RQeu2fqIkyCQ In May, Jane Manchun Wong gave a preview of what the button will look like. The handy drop-down will come as light relief to anyone who suffers from the odd grammatical howler. It might also safeguard you from drunk posting, although you'll have to sober up pretty quickly in order to make necessary edits! https://twitter.com/wongmjane/status/1521229356827246592?s=20&t=g9ASGyOzwxsN6tB9HcPw2A Response to the news has been mixed so far, although most people seem to welcome the news:   https://twitter.com/chandrarsrikant/status/1565323837071589378?s=20&t=U3ZxDmo84dioSLay9uMmpQ Related links:
