It’s been a long time in coming but the new Top Gear team has been revealed in its entirety.

The BBC has been drip feeding us new presenters for the show which is set to air in May without Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.

First came Chris Evans, then we had Friends legend Matt Le Blanc but now we know what the full line-up for the new series will be.

It is set to include racing driver Sabine Schmitz, YouTube star Chris Harris, F1 pundit Eddie Jordan and motoring journalist Rory Reid – and The Stig, obviously.

Eddie Jordan, who ran his own race team, was the famous face of the BBC’s F1 racing coverage.

While viewers will remember Sabine Schmitz from the scorching lap time she set around the  Nürburgring on Top Gear in a Transit van.

She said: “I grew up next to the Nürburgring and have been racing for most of my life,” she said, “so the chance to combine both driving and filming was too good an opportunity to pass up.”

YouTube star Chris Harris added: “Top Gear is the thing that helped shape my life with cars, my perception of cars and my obsession with cars, and I’m raring to give it a go.”

Filming is set to begin in South Africa and the show is expected to air in May.
